溫哥華市表示，CMHC 數據顯示，投機稅幫助冷卻了市場，並將 2017 年至 2021 年間的空置房產轉化為長期租金。

There is no way the house prices in Vancouver can go down to affordable level. More people from other places of the country and the world will be eager to move here once the prices become affordable.
