今夏，溫哥華很多餐廳開辟戶外用餐區，露天環境下用餐將成為後疫情時代用餐“新常態”。
世界衛生組織（WHO）曾表示，新冠病毒COVID-19可能永遠不會消失，人類可能必須與新冠病毒共存。那就意味著，出門戴口罩、勤洗手、保持社交距離、避免握手和擁抱都將成為常態。
隨著越來越多的餐館在疫情中重新開業，食客們渴望有機會在他們最喜歡的餐館用餐。不過，即使有了社交距離規定和其他新實施的健康安全措施，但衛生專家敦促民眾外出就餐時仍需考慮利弊。
隨著BC省第叁階段重啟已經進行了壹段時間，餐廳可以堂食，但需要按照官方的規定保證足夠的社交距離，BC省部分市政府則相應擴大餐廳戶外占道經營的范圍，餐廳可以在人行道、停車場等地開設露天就餐區，以幫助本地餐飲業復蘇。
溫哥華市府7月24日公布，允許市內餐館在遵守疫情限制措施的前提下擴大用餐范圍，6月1日起推出臨時戶外用餐區計劃，截至上周伍，溫市府總共收到408個申請，審核並批准290個申請，15個正在審核中，103個不符合計劃范圍內。
根據溫市府的該項計劃，允許企業在網上申請在餐館鄰近范圍內擴展壹個戶外用餐區，適用於夏季期間直至10月31日。
夏季是溫哥華壹年中最好的季節，陽光燦爛，又不會太熱，在陽光下享用美食，是很多喜歡的方式。大家都對溫哥華不斷增加的擁有臨時戶外用餐區的餐廳感到無比興奮，請收好這份清單，看看有沒有自己喜愛的餐廳。還是要提醒大家，疫情還沒有徹底結束，戶外就餐只是權宜之計，在生活完全恢復之前，大家還是要做好防護工作。
疫情期間外出用餐，如對餐具不放心，可以自己准備點兒酒精濃度70%的酒精棉片，吃飯前用酒精棉片擦壹下餐具和筷子，要注意多擦幾分鍾。75度的酒精，有著很好的殺菌效果，並且棉片上的酒精量比較少，這點量的酒精並不會對身體造成傷害。如果擔心酒精濃度高，可以用水燙壹下，把酒精沖壹沖，可以減少餐具上的酒精量。如果僅僅使用熱水燙壹下餐具，並沒有太好的殺菌效果。
