曼尼托巴省卫生部长乌佐马·阿萨格瓦拉（Uzoma Asagwara）表示，该设备正在按照标准流程接受评估，由癌症护理机构 CancerCare Manitoba 负责审查其临床证据与成本效益。

加拿大脑瘤基金会首席执行官妮可·法雷尔（Nicole Farrell）指出，他们希望全国患者能够获得公平的治疗机会，而不应取决于所在省份，“是否住在BC省，不应该决定你是否能获得这种可能延长生命的治疗”。

尽管专家也提醒该设备并非对所有患者同样有效，但对一些人而言，它确实可能带来生存时间和生活质量的改善。

对于奇科一家来说，这段“延长的时间”意义重大，但他们仍希望政策能更快跟上现实需求——因为对晚期癌症患者而言，每一天都至关重要。

We always automatically turn to governments for help when we need super expensive medical treatment, medications, equipment and devices. We always say that we will never leave anyone behind. That sounds very reasonable and encouraging as our value. However, it is very expensive for cover more and more medical costs fully by governments. People do not buy additional medical insurance and use tax dollars as their unlimited coverage. Maybe they should ask service providers to reduce the costs. 赞 4 踩 4 回复 0
