当地时间18日，伊朗议会议长卡利巴夫在社交平台发文称，“敌人想通过袭击基础设施来掩盖自己在战场上的失败。”他强调，现在的规则是“以牙还牙”，双方的对抗已经上升到了一个全新的阶段。
当天稍早前，伊朗方面消息称，伊朗布什尔省南帕尔斯3至6期天然气炼厂遭美以无人机袭击。伊朗随后警告称，与美国相关的石油设施将与美国军事基地处于同一级别，它们将遭受猛烈炮火攻击。
