德夫林当天在接受采访时称，以军正在打击伊朗的“所有领导人”，会追击穆杰塔巴并“消灭”他。
当天早些时候，伊朗驻俄罗斯大使卡齐姆·贾拉利通过社交媒体表示，关于穆杰塔巴在俄罗斯接受治疗的消息是假消息。这些不实消息是“一场新的心理战”。
