特朗普在回答媒体相关提问时表示，这场军事行动的结束“没那么快，但肯定用不了多久”，“不久后，这场战争就会结束”。
他还称“很快”会宣布哪些国家同意为通过霍尔木兹海峡的船只提供护航。此前，他已抱怨美国的欧洲盟友不愿在护航行动中“出手相助”。
特朗普先前表示，对伊朗的军事行动可能持续四周或更长。美国防部长赫格塞思则拒绝明确任务时间表。
