據羊城晚報報道，發布者是壹家位於廣州生物島的生物醫藥科技機構。發布者表示該項目已持續 7 年，滿足壹定要求的捐獻志願者，每次捐獻合格糞便可得 200 元愛心補貼，季度最佳捐獻者還可以獲得 1000 元鼓勵金。
實際上，捐屎還能賺錢，這並非壹件新鮮事。
OpenBiome 是美國壹家非盈利性質的「人類糞便銀行」。長期以來，OpenBiome 會以每份 40 美元（約合人民幣 287 元）的價格，向志願者「收購」糞便。
同時，為了鼓勵人們在 60 天內盡可能多的提供樣本，提高頻率和數量，OpenBiome 還會對每周來滿 5 天的志願者提供額外 50 美元的全勤獎。按照這樣計算，等於壹周最高可賺 250 美元（約合人民幣 1800 元）。
