in the long run, buying properties in Vancouver is still a good choice. be patient. being a good living place, more people from all parts of the world coming. once they become the resident or Canadian. they would either buy apartment, townhouse or house.
After previous few years rise in price, i guess it should take some times to digest, and i don\'t think it would crash. the price would stay or up in slow motion. actually there are too much wealthy people trying to settle here or want a extra accomodation in summer here.
