MOLASSES I would first like to thank Jeffrey Pang for helping me film and edit the video. I am really proud of what we created, and I couldn鈥檛 have chosen someone better to do it with! A little background: I have been working on Molasses ever since Worlds 2018. Over the past year, I have gotten a lot of: 鈥淗arrison, film a routine-type video," 鈥淗arrison, release a video!鈥 鈥淗arrison, I haven鈥檛 seen your latest yo-yo tricks in a while, why don鈥檛 you post more?鈥 Creating a 鈥渞outine-type鈥 video is something I have been wanting to do for a while, but had always been pushed aside. I always had something else going on, or came up with excuses: 鈥淚 am too busy with school/work", 鈥淚 need someone to help me film the video鈥, 鈥淚 want to wait till I come up with more tricks...鈥 This video consists of a collection of tricks from the past few years; combinations I have been constantly refining. Molasses represents my creative struggle: the tug of war of wanting to innovate, while also being pressured to conform to a competitive meta. It is my ode to creative ruts, bad days, and the feeling of being burnt out, because eventually it will always get better. CLYW #clyw #pickaxe #trickcircle #haituskaiyote #molasses
